That theVox does not fear a repeat election and believes that, if it returns to the polls, its parliamentarrepresentation would not continue to decline as it has done this 23J. In his opinion, the party has shown to have a faithful vote that has continued to choose its ballot despite having "everything against it." Those of Santiago Abascal do not dare to predict what the future of the legislature will be, but they work with the conviction that its result would not be worse than this Sunday in a scenario of repeating the elections. This 23J, Vox lost more than 600,000 votes (from 3.6 million in 2019 to just over 3 million) and went from a percentage of 15.08% to 12.04%. This was reflected in the loss of a third of the deputies it had in Congress, from 52 seats to 33.

Various members of Vox believe that this 23J the formation has shown that it has electoral soil and that its votes are not the result of whim or volatility, so they are not afraid to continue falling if there are new elections, which they would also face without changing their main speech .

In public, the party has avoided any hint ofVox also points out that the loss of seats seems more scandalous than what in its opinion is reality, as a consequence of the application of the D'Hont law and the penalty it has caused in small provinces, losing a small percentage of the vote. With this argument, those of Santiago Abascal blame the PP for having "frustrated the alternative." In his opinion, the calls for a useful vote from the 'popular' have reduced support for Vox that could have increased its parliamentary representation and have not translated into seats for the PP either. In fact, Vox released a dossier the day after the elections with the example of five provinces in which Vox was a few thousand votes away from achieving more deputies , while the PP did not take advantage of that excess of ballots.
