The number one reason not to use Black Hat SEO tactics is that they will eventually cause your site to lose search rankings, visibility, and traffic.

Take a look at the following. The graph shows the visibility of a site that has implemented unnatural tactics and has therefore obtained a negative effect:

When a website loses traffic and visibility, it typically means that conversions and revenue follow a similar trend.

This, in itself, can mean a reduction in revenue for filipina telegram a business and lead to job losses or even closure of the business. In the best case scenario, a sharp decline in organic traffic means that this will need to be supplemented with a greater investment in PPC or other paid channels.

Black hat SEO tactics can cause a website's performance to decline as a result of manual action or algorithmic filtering.

2. It won't bring long-term results
Even in cases where rankings and organic performance initially increase due to manipulative techniques, these results are rarely sustained.

While it may take Google some time to determine that a site is engaging in unethical practices ( a manual review may be conducted or an algorithm update may occur), once the search engine detects deception, a loss of traffic is inevitable.

Perhaps the only thing worse than struggling to rank a site is seeing artificially inflated rankings and traffic suddenly drop after a short time. Businesses need certainty, and black hat tactics can't provide that.

3. It usually results in poor user experience
In our Technical SEO vs UI/UX webinar , Bastian Grimm shares a commentary on how the importance of UX for SEO has changed over time, stating that:

One thing that has become a little more obvious is that Google wasn't necessarily trying to rank sites that had done the best SEO, rather they were trying to provide a decent experience, or at least an experience that people were happy with.

— Bastian Grimm

SEO must consider a user’s experience on a site and work to provide the best content and UX. Black hat tactics do the exact opposite: they optimize for search engines (at least what they think search engines want to see) rather than for users. This, in and of itself, can be problematic.

Trust plays a major role in the success of the search channel. If search engines are given more importance than users, there is a good chance that the site's ability to convert will be significantly limited.
