Teleworking came into the lives of Spanish workers more out of obligation than out of devotion of companies more than a year ago. Since the lockdown began, many workers have been forced to bring their offices home .

Working from home has created different habits that are now being considered whether or not to return to the offices, and how to maintain the good things about teleworking in Spain. But the question is that it is true that teleworking has become as common a habit as everyone thinks.

In which countries has teleworking become common in the lives of workers?
According to the ' Dossier of teleworking and mobile work indicators in Spain and the EU ' of June from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, it has compiled data at the European level and at the level of Spain where it is shown that there are large differences in the telecommuting .

The European average is per  Israel Email List  cent of workers who are doing their jobs from home over the past year. A percentage in which Spain is below, at percent .

The Nordic and Central European countries occupy the top positions in teleworking in Europe. Finland is the country in the European Union with the highest percentage of workers who telework with percent . Spain is more than points apart in the implementation of teleworking by companies.

The data on the implementation of teleworking among European countries is shown in the following graph:

The profile of the employee who teleworks in Spain
The profile of the workers who have teleworked the most in Spain has been women between and years old and who are responsible for minors or dependent people , therefore, the profile is that of a teleworker.

Since before the coronavirus came into our lives, those who teleworked were mostly men, something that has changed the trend, due to an increase in teleworking by women. This has been due to the family responsibilities that women have in Spanish homes.

By ranking of autonomous communities, the winner has been the Community of Madrid with percent of workers who stay at home to work, the next community has been Catalonia with percent of employees.

On the other hand, we find that Spanish SMEs exceed the European average in preparation for teleworking. In , the percentage of companies with to workers that provide a portable device for work purposes was percent. Less than half of the companies in Spain.

In contrast, companies with to workers provide their employees with percent of portable devices for work purposes, SMEs with to workers do so with percent , and large companies with percent do so.
