Vox has taken over the mayorship of five municipalities located mostly in Castilla y León, except for one in Castilla La Mancha. Abascal's party has obtained an absolute majority in 5 of the 729 municipalities in which it was presented. A total of 33,134 votes that contrast with the 440 obtained in 2015.  These are, in all cases, those town councils that belong to what has been called the emptied Spain. The municipalities are located in Castilla y León with the exception of one in the La Mancha community. Vox obtained 70.21% of the votes and 33 ballots in its favor, while the PSOE received 10 and the PP 6 . Vox takes over Hontecillas and Jorge López Contreras takes over the mayor's office, putting an end to a government in the hands of the PSOE since 2003 and in a town hall of 53 inhabitants.
