Collaboration, a success factor in R&D&i processes

Promoting cooperation between the technological centers of the Community to exploit complementarities in knowledge and technical-scientific infrastructures is something that the  Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community  ( Redit )  has been promoting for years. In this way, the effectiveness of the resources used is maximized and the optimal critical mass is reached to increase the research excellence of the system. Teamwork provides a multidisciplinary approach that enriches the strategy and usually leads to greater effectiveness in the orientation and final result of innovation proposals.

Cooperation makes it possible to optimize available resources, add experiences and open new possibilities and markets, which ultimately benefits companies, which see their chances of success increased. This changing reality has given rise to various types of cooperation between the centers. One of the closest forms of collaboration has been the creation of strategic alliances. Currently there are several that coordinate and reinforce the R&D offer and activities of different institutes and improve their position in the markets, as well as their efficiency. In fact, one of them has evolved to give rise this year to the creation of the Metalworking, Furniture, Wood, Packaging and Related Technological Institute ( Aidimme ) , the result of the merger between Aidima and Aimme . Other of these alliances are those maintained in the automotive and means of transport sector: Aimme , Aimplas , IBV , ITE and ITI through Imaut ; or the one relating to the food packaging industry between Aimplas and Ainia ; as well as that related to habitat and quality of life that encompasses Aidima , Aitex and ITC .
